Portugal’s most expensive streets are in the Cascais area, with Rua das Faias topping the rankings in the latest Idealista analysis. The median asking price on this street was €4.35 million.
In fact, three out of the five most expensive streets in Portugal are along the Cascais-Estoril axis, making it one of the most desirable places for luxury property enclaves.
Here are the latest real estate trends for Portugal’s most exclusive addresses.
Cascais Tops Portugal’s Most Expensive Streets

To put it into perspective, the average house in Cascais costs about €7,327 per square meter, as we can see in the Q4 2025 data from Confidencial Imobilario.
In Rua das Faias, home prices easily exceed the regional average, which for many property buyers makes this street feel like the true top end of Portugal’s luxury real estate market.
The second most expensive street in Portugal is also in Cascais – Rua das Violetas. Here, the average asking price for a property is about €4.3 million.
However, the third rank belongs to Almancil’s Urbanização Vale do Lobo, with a median price of €4.25 million. Cascais shows up again in the fourth position with Rua das Papoilas, where you can buy a house for €4 million in median terms.

The Sintra, Portugal, real estate market is also part of this latest analysis. Here, Rua Soto Maior secured the sixth position in the ranking due to the median home price reaching a staggering €3.9 million.
Porto, the second largest city in Portugal, earned the seventh rank with Rua do Ouro. Here, the asking price for a mid-sized property is €3.69 million in median terms.
Then, we have the Algarve, Portugal, real estate market with Lagos. The priciest street to buy a property is in Urbanização Quinta do Monte, where asking values hit about €3.25 million.
The list ends with the Setúbal district, or more exactly, in Quinta do Conde, by Rua do Pinheiro Manso and Avenida Sabóia, in Estoril, with median costs of €2.75 million and €2.4 million, respectively.
Madeira Leads in Regional Street Prices

In Madeira, Rua João Paulo II in São Martinho had the most expensive median value at €1.5 million.
In Leiria, that title belongs to Rua dos Mártires at €842,500, whereas in Viana do Castelo Rua Doutor Adriano Magalhães saw numbers reach €670,000.
The most expensive street in Aveiro is Rua António da Rocha Madail with values of €493,500 at median terms. Coimbra and Braga quickly followed suit with their respective streets Rua Princesa Cindazunda (€435,000) and Rua Bernardino da Silva (€374,400).
Rua 1.º de Dezembro in Santarém saw values at €330,000, which appears to be relatively affordable by Western European standards. This 2026 property analysis ends with Rua Miguel Bombarda in the Viseu district, where you can find median asking prices at €300,000.
There is a major gap in median asking prices between the two ends of the Portugal real estate market. A house in das Faias in Cascais could cost you about 14 times more than what you would spend in Rua Miguel Bombarda in Viseu for a property of the same size.
Why isn't Lisbon in the top list?
You probably wonder why Lisbon is not at the top of this list, considering it is a capital city and one of the most expensive places to buy property in Portugal.
Lisbon can have plenty of €1 million or €3 million properties without a particular street making it to the top 10. That’s because most high-end properties and new developments are outside the capital in areas like Cascais, Sintra, Estoril, and the Algarve.
Where are Portugal’s €1M+ homes?
Portugal’s luxury property market has many locations that didn’t make it to the top ranking list for expensive streets.
On 1 August 2026, over 19,000 properties that were worth over €1 million were listed for sale at the time of the analysis. Lisbon, Porto, and Faro held 80% of the country’s property supply, while Leiria and Braga had 1.5%.
